MoonWalking Like a Mad Hatter at an All Night 10th Birthday Party!
Walk the Walk is the largest grant making breast cancer charity in the UK, where over the last 19 years, 350,000 people have power walked to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. Today the charity has bloomed into a successful multi-million pound charity, raising in excess of £79 million.
The Walk the Walk charity organises many unique fundraising challenges and aims to grant 75% of its funds to help the worthwhile breast cancer cause and encouraging men and women to be fitter and claim more control of their own wellbeing.
‘The MoonWalk’, a unique fundraising challenge organised by Walk the Walk to celebrate its 10th birthday with a special Mad Hatter’s Midnight Tea Party theme, took place in Scotland in June 2015. Fiona Munro from W Munro (Rehab) celebrated in a Mad Hatter’s fashion, to honour a decade of fundraising, by taking part in ‘The MoonWalk’ even. Thousands of women (and men!) took to the streets of Scotland and power walked either the New Moon (6.55 miles), Half Moon (13.1 miles), Full Moon (26.2 miles) or Over The Moon (52.4 miles) Marathons through the night, wearing Walk the Walk’s trademarked vibrantly decorated bras.
Joerns Healthcare were proud to sponsor Fiona, who completed the Full Moon Marathon and helped contribute to an incredible £18 million raised by the Moonwalk Scotland event to date.
