For the second successive year, Joerns exhibited at the OT Show in Birmingham, joining in excess of 4,000 Occupational Therapists looking to expand their knowledge on latest practice across a wide range of healthcare products and services.

Once again, attendance figures were up on prior year, as was our stand space. Curtis Jordan comments “Such has been the over-whelming interest in this event since it’s premier outing in 2013, this year we made the straight-forward decision to raise our profile, investing in a larger floor space to showcase our leading range of patient handling products”. The decision proved to be the right call as Joerns made the most of a circa 20% increase in delegates Vs. 2014. With an enviable location, near to the main entrance, Joerns enjoyed a continuous and enthusiastic stream of Occupational Therapists, keen to take in the wealth of dedicated CPD content on offer and also see the latest product innovations and services on offer.

Following the success of Joerns’ “Guidance for Safe Sling Selection” seminar at last year’s event, we once again joined forces with Julia Love to run seminar content over both days, entitled “Hoisting People and the Importance of the Right Sling”. Curtis states “Yet again, both sessions were very well-attended with delegates stood two and three deep around the perimeter of the Innovation Theatre. It really goes to show that if you can offer relevant content, particularly on a subject where there is so much uncertainty, people will engage. Of course, having a credible and respected speaker in Julia Love goes a long way to driving such high demand”.

Joerns have already secured their space for 2016, nearly all of which was quickly re-booked over the course of the two show days. It promises to be bigger and better again!
