Joerns Sponsor South Wales Back Exchange
In July, our National Sales Manager, Dave Bennett along with Jon Harrhy, Area Sales Manager – South West and Rob Ordish, Technical Support Engineer, attended a South Wales Back Exchange Group at Trem Y Mor Integrated Services Centre in Bridgend.
The day comprised product evaluations for the new Oxford Switch and Up products, a LOLER regulations overview and an introduction to some of our unique and supportive resources.
The day began with Rob’s overview of LOLER, covering associated implications for product users and the need to keep equipment in safe working order. Next was Dave’s summary of Joerns’ online resources, including our website, Resource Centre and online Sling Selector Tool.
To finish, Dave and Jon continued to focus on Joerns’ new assisted transfer products, the Oxford Switch and Oxford Up, with an extensive session of hands on training and demonstration. The Oxford Journey was also used in combination to demonstrate a progression of equipment needs for patients with varying abilities.
The Oxford Up was given particular focus given its pre-launch status at the time, with very positive feedback returned by all delegates. One attendee commented on the low overall product weight compared to their current offer, “Having a product that one-person can comfortably handle is a major advantage when delivering equipment in the community”.
