Joerns Supports Parkinson’s Golf Challenge for Fifth Year

May 2018, saw what has become a recent tradition for Joerns to join as a key sponsor alongside the likes of Audi for the annual Parkinson’s Charity Golf Day at Cirencester Golf Club.

This year saw Curtis Jordan, Marketing Manager, join the event and he comments “Historically, Nathan has represented Joerns and despite his departure last year, he did join me, arriving around 30 seconds ahead of our allotted tee time!”.

“It was a pleasure to attend this year and support the cause, not to mention securing longest drive with a wind assisted 357 yard effort – we’re already locked in and looking forward to 2019!”

Such is the unrelenting drive and determination of David Paul, the event’s organiser, who himself has Parkinson’s, fund raising this year exceeded what was an ambitious target of £10,000. To give that some perspective, 2 years ago, the total raised was a little over £3,000.

Regrettably, David was unable to attend this year’s event after a fall left him with a stay in hospital. Despite his best efforts to be there, he was unfortunately unable to attend. We are however pleased to confirm he is well on the road to recovery and already focused on next year!
